Heineken Thirst @ Sepang

Friday, April 29th, 2005

Roger Sanchez this weekend.Nothing I’ve never heard before, but still cool. I don’t really fancy many American DJs. I think other than Roger Sanchez, I’ve heard Moby spin…and that’s about it for American DJs…I think? The past year I have been going for so many events that the names of DJs have just flown in and out of my mind.

It’s strange how this year I seem to be going for more raves than clubs. I just don’t really like the loft…way too bright and just not very interesting. Unfortunately these guys seems to be stuck to it..blah.

By the way, anyone looking for tickets for this weekend’s Sepang rave; Zouk and Towers Records are selling them for RM30. Door sale is RM40 tomorrow. See y’all there!

Just mates?

Wednesday, April 27th, 2005

Can you always be ”just mates” with members of the opposite sex? In comes the ladder theory.

Women have two ladders.Either they want to screw you or not. And it depends on how much.  Men, being the simple minded creatures they always are, have one. They always want to screw you. Just depends on how high are you on their ladder.

This has been floating around for some time. Reminded by shaky and his ”friend”.

Horny skin revisited

Monday, April 25th, 2005

There is a reason to all this madness. According to missbliss:

" I think perhaps the direct translation to OVER-ACTIVE skin in Japanese is horny.Just like how my sister’s ex japanese boss would scold them for being so selfish, only thinking about themselves by fufilling their needs only and not the company’s.

He would say,"You all better stop masturbation"!

Ahh…that made sense.Or not.

Odd one pope

Monday, April 18th, 2005

Heehee.I find this extremely funny. It is suspected that priests are placing bets as well. Hang on a sec. ,isn’t that like insider trading? But how do you bet on the saying ," He who goes in a pope comes out a cardinal"?This is one serious event that favourites are bad.Strange

"The Catholic Church frowns on the idea of treating the papal succession like the Grand National."

That reminds me…my horse Royal Auclair came second in the Grand National….effectively granting me P.2000. Just enough for my shoe spree in Manila

Look at what shaky’s got on the pope.Woohoo…where do I apply?

Dim Sum is bad for health

Thursday, April 14th, 2005

…Poppycock! The Star reports today that dim sum are mini time-bomb to obesity-land and severe cardiovascular problems.

Dim sums are widely believed to be one of the most healthy meals one can have for breakfasts. Compare that with the English fryup and the Malaysian nasi lemak . High in protein, low in fat, steamed dim sums are filled with meats and veggies and come in small servings. Portion control is excellent. No sugar high as well from a high in carbs and sugars breakfasts (bananas and watermelons for breakfast?think again!). Pots of chinese tea are traditionally drunk whilst having dim sum as the food arrives slowly…so this balances off the high-sodium content in some of the dim sum.

Admittedly, deep fried dim sums like taro cakes and wontons are completely saturated in fats…but anyone who’s been to a dim sum meal would notice that most of the items that are ordered consists of small steamed dumplings.

So in conjunction with this poppycock..I went for a very very satisfying dim sum lunch at the Putrajaya Marriott’s Summer Palace. Bliss. So bah to you, mr. i-am-so-healthy.
