You know you’re a blog-addict when…

..it bloody facinates you that the airport has free internet.

.

And all you could think of is telling the world you’re blogging from the airport. . Yes…I cant believe this but I’m blogging from KLIA.Not wireless like the starbucks and McDonalds deal, but real PC stuck to a pillar. And it facinates me.And its free. I think it’s bloody great. .

.

Cons? Its a bloody slow connection…took me 10 minutes to startup, login to Friendster AND arrive at blog pages. I forgot how bad the internet could be.

.

Seeya’ll later folks!

A little farewell..

No time for posts..have been busily commenting on Marcus’ blog I am abandoning my own! Actually, too busy with work to do much of anything else.

.

Too much time on your hands? Check out the blogs I stalk then.

.

Promises promises…when I’ve actually got time, will do the picture blog for the next week.

Till then…ta; don’t travel where I won’t!

Me and men’s night out

Tuesday, July 19th, 2005

And another thing. I have been invited to a Bachelor’s Party/Buck night this Friday. I have not met the groom nor the bride before…go figure why am I even attending the wedding!

I have no idea what they do for Buck’s night in Doggy Town,Wales; but if it’s anything like Marcus’ night out, I am fine with it!Good food, good drinks and booty watching.

To be on the safe side, seeing that I am the only female in the entourage, I will be wearing a bikini inside in case I am expected to jump out from the cake!

Marcus: Will be sure to take pictures! No cake-clad bikini though…might just put everyone off cake forever.

Early edition of the Cute Factor. Couldnt resist it..the car, not me. At the Peak, HK.

Of teapots and such

Tuesday, July 19th, 2005

The teapot’s back in the news!

About 30-35 assailants armed with Molotov cocktails attacked the commune in the early morning, torching a car and the roof of a building and scorching the giant teapot itself, emergency services officials, local media and a lawyer for the sect said

Aww…the teapot’s leaking now. Not good, not good at all.Apparently there’s a small secret room inside the teapot where only the high ranking officials of the teapot sect are allowed in. You enter at the side of the teapot .The insides are decorated with gaudily colored fake plastic flowers.Yeah, it had always been my ambition in life to live in a teapot, like the old lady in the shoe. Come out from the spout.

Only in Malaysia. Hilarious.

.

On other matters…

.

Two more days! Whoopee! I seriously can’t wait to get out of here.I have had enough of this shit on a platter that work’s been serving up lately…it comes to a point where you dont give a flying damn whether it sinks or floats. I guess that’s when you know it’s time to move on.

.

Have yet to get back to full time blogging. That will probably only happen in two weeks time when I am back to normality. Will try for posts at Leeds but possibility’s not very high.I don’t think we’ll even have a home phone line, seeing that we’re only back in Leeds for two weeks!

.

Maybe a picturelog…?

.

Quick run through of itinerary for the next week:

  1. Dolgellau, Wales
  2. Cadbury World,Brimmingham
  3. Stonehenge, Avebury
  4. Ashdown forest(Pooh’s forest) ,Sussex
  5. London for three days
  6. …..and back to raid-town Leeds

Thursday, July 14th, 2005

Yesterday’s happenings has turned out to be closer to home than anticipated. Si lives in the Leeds area, where I will be using as a base for my UK trip next week. With suspect-searching going on in the Leeds area, I am apprehensive to say the least. The fact that one of them lived in the Dewsbury area where Si’s mom currently resides does not make things any better.

.

BUT. This is a war against terrorism. This is a war against those crazy nutheads that think they can scare the non-crazies into their protective shell.

.

Not only do they not think about the lives of the millions of people shattered by the tragedy that is of their own creation, but they seemingly do not even give a damn about their own family.

Mr Ahmed said Shehzad Tanweer(one of the suspects) - who he last saw the day before the bombings - went to Pakistan for two months earlier this year to study religion.

Asked how he felt when police said his nephew had not been a victim but may have perpetrated the bombings Mr Ahmed broke down, saying: "We have lost everything we have."

What makes us think that they are capable of compassion for the world community? I can bet every last penny that the lives of their relatives and friends will never be the same again. I can just hope that what I witnessed in the aftermath of Sept 11 does not repeat itself in Leeds.

All that talk on platefuls of critters have put me off lunch. Moving on to something cuter and definately more delicious;my favourite dimsum spot at Superstar Restaurant; branches all over HK.

Wu kok & fun gor                        Penguin Kaos

Har Kau..or elephant kau           Friendly red bean baos
