Bangsar ONE
For those people that haven’t been to Bangsar in ages, you might notice a new strip next to Bangsar village that’s chockfull of lovely restaurants.. seafood, french, tapas bar, chinese, indian ect.
.
One thing that my family does well is eat.So it was just a matter of time before we haul ourselves over to bangsar to peep at what is now One Bangsar. Lovely manicured gardens adorn this strip of about 7 old-school bungalows..

View from the vietnamese restaurant

My daddy and mommy..because I love em.

Lovely springrolls with real rice paper rather than kuay teow-like wrapper. It’d better..cost RM15 for these babies
.
Overall it was quite lovely, nice atmosphere, good food. I have issues with Vietamese food in Malaysia as most of them are rather ‘fake’,even those which proclaimed that their chefs are flown especially from Vietnam.
.
Yes,I do know what the real deal is about. I was seeing a Vietnamese French bloke for about 4 years. His mom would make me bowls of steaming Pho Dac Biet and sizzling Cha Gio washed down with refreshing Soda Canh. I can’t speak Vietnamese to save my life, but I sure can order in Vietnamese to feed a village. And after 3 years in California, I can safely say that Vietnamese food remains one of my favourite. The authentic sort, not the Pho with washed down beef broth.
.
So this was a lovely suprise. Bleeding expensive at RM116 for three, but lovely all the same.I do miss my weekly bowl of Pho Dac Biet..

I love pho tai myself. You know the pho dish with crab meat in it? Reddish/orangey coloured soup? That’s good too but I can’t remember the name.
And must have coconut juice or strong Viet coffee. Woo.
